Broadcaster Unveils Plans to Roll Out Three New Networks: "A broadcaster that focuses on what it calls “the fastest-growing consumer segment in our nation” revealed plans Wednesday at its upfront presentation in New York to launch three new networks next season, Broadcasting & Cable reported.Spanish-language broadcaster Univision said it will debut networks built around telenovelas, news and sports. The company also plans to air nearly 500 hours of new productions in prime time and late-night during the 2011-12 television season, an increase over the current season.The new networks are called Univision Deportes (sports); Univision 24/7 (news) and Univision TL Novelas (telenovelas).The Hispanic presence in the U.S. is "a new American Reality," said Randy Falco, Univision's executive vice president. "Businesses looking to deliver growth need to establish and maintain a relationship with the fastest-growing consumer segment in our nation," Falco said.
