So the bag- loving public have been complaining about the price increase of designer bags lately (count me in, I'm one of those complaining haha). I suppose it's because materials as well as labor costs have increased over time. I can still remember the day when bags like the Hermes birkin was "just" at US$ 5,400 (I say "just" because it's currently selling for twice the price. And by my saying "just" it does not mean it began as a cheap bag either *wolfwhistle*). But to those waiting to own a Hermes birkin, did you know that you can actually save a tiny bit (haha yes, tiny, but it's still money!) by getting yourself a birkin with a leather- canvas combination as opposed to an all- leather one? It's still a tad cheaper, and right now, the leather- canvas combination is so on trend too. Hermes though, has been producing this leather- canvas combination for quite some time, so it is still a very classic style, and in fact, is more versatile in my opinion :)

I realized too that the fabric/ canvas version of Hermes does not get as dirty as I thought it would! Pretty amazed actually :) They're not 'delicate' bags after all-- as one is initially inclined to think the are. Such a pleasant surprise!

For those who remain undecided about birkins, you might want to consider the leather- fabric/ canvas combination. I can tell you now, the women I know who own one don't regret having it :) Plus, this still makes you different :) *bag lovers have been going for an all- leather one, so it's nice to deviate from the 'popular' :D*
