Buildings with Soul

Buildings with Soul: "

Acclaimed Italian architect Renzo Piano adds bright colors to some of the building’s exteriors and interiors in the heart of London’s, Central Saint Giles. According to Piano, color has an element of amazement. Bold faces of the primary colors represent a joyful surprise, especially in this forgotten part of London with gray and brown government buildings. 13 vertical color coded panels consisting of prefabricated glazed terra cottas are selected to work well with each other. The surrounding buildings as well as trees were also part of the color harmony decision. There were mock up panels placed first before the final colors were selected.
