Last June 4, there was a Starcraft 2 tournament at the Cyberzone in SM Megamall sponsored by inno3D + NVIDIA. Starcraft 2 tournaments are rare in the country so this was quite a treat for our local gamers. There was also a media tournament on the side where we competed with other publications.
This Starcraft 2 tournament showcased the fast and powerful gaming experience you can get from an NVIDIA GTX560 powered-machine. But no thanks to the wonky internet connection and the Blizzard SEA server, the tournament started a bit late. It was supposed to begin at 2PM but the Blizzard server was down. It took a while for it to be fixed but by then, the internet became unstable. Anyway, those who persevered were rewarded with awesome prizes from inno3D. Lots of freebies, jackets, video cards were also given away or raffled off as the tournament ended at around 9 PM.
The winners went home with inno3D products plus cash prizes while the top 2 winners for the media took home an inno3D NVIDIA GTX580/GTX560 GPU and a Razer Nostromo each. Should’ve given away the Starcraft 2 headphone, keyboard and mouse set instead. Hehehe.
