July 11th, 2011: You guys, the shuttle launch was awesome. There was only a 30% chance that they'd do it thanks to the weather, but it cleared long enough that they had their shot and they took it! We watched from Titusville, and just after the spacecraft had cleared the clouds the roar of the engines made it across the bay and everyone started cheering and applauding. Amazing. I'm really happy to have seen the launch as that was a dream of mine, but I'm sad that it seems less and less likely I'll ever go into space! This shirt I made seems... extremely appropriate?
