NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- U.S. Congressman Thaddeus McCotter (R., Mich.) has thrown his hat into the race for the Republican presidential nomination.
McCotter, who was elected to a fifth term in Congress in November, officially announced his candidacy Saturday at a festival in Whitmore Lake, about 30 miles from Detroit, the Associated Press reported.
