Casa N by Agraz Arquitectos: "

Drawing inspiration from classic Mexican architecture and urban life, architectural studio Argaz Arquitectos most recent project, designed and built a post modern home for a family of four, could have been a failure of epic proportions. In the hands of lesser architects, combing these two drastically different themes would have caused the final product to resemble an ugly mismatched mixture, less like peanut butter and jelly, and more like chocolate and hot sauce. Instead, the result, standing at three floors and containing ten rooms with three bathrooms, skews traditional architecture in favor of outdoor family and dining rooms. Linked by a sparse central staircase, the architects fill the house with bold and simple shapes that magnify the minimalist beauty of the structure.

From the family game room to the bathrooms, featuring a bold new Mexican design, the house is one of a kind. By melding together city living with a country’s classic architecture, Argaz Arquitectos have managed to create a house that pays homage to great architectural feet’s of the past while also signifying a brave step forward for architects everywhere.
