1956 Austin Healey 100-Four

1956 Austin Healey 100-Four:

While the past century has had its share of amazing automobiles, ranging from Jaguars to Aston Martins, none seem to have the style and complexity of the 1956 Austin Healey 100-Four. Aptly named “100-Four” because of it’s then revolutionary capabilities of reaching 100mph, while housing a 4 cylinder engine under the hood. The car was recently the subject of a photo essay by Gear Patrol’s Jason Heaton, in an attempt to show readers that this often overlooked car is one of the finer automobiles of the past 100 years. At first glance, the car seems to be a standard luxury automobile of the 1950’s. A dream car to be sure, but what distinguishes this roadster from the cars of the modern day? Well with its slick interior, mint condition red color, and a sleek and simple design, the 1956 Healey is arguably one of the finer sports cars that we’ve seen. Kudos to Gear Patrol for shinning a spotlight on this fine automobile.
