NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Amazon is reportedly looking to create the Netflix of books.
The e-commerce giant is in talks to launch a digital book library, according to The Wall Street Journal, that would operate similar to Netflix. Users would pay an annual fee to access a library of content, the newspaper said.
These rumors are emerging as chatter heats up regarding the possibility of Amazon launching a tablet to rival that of Apple's iPad within the next few weeks. A digital library would provide content for this new device.
