Supercars and gas mileage is a bit of an oxymoron. Rimac is out to change all of that with their electric-powered Concept One. Powered, by a 92 kWh lithium phosphate battery pack, the car can travel a maximum range of about 372 miles. The Concept One has what the company calls its All Wheel Torque Vectoring System. Rimac divides the powertrain into front and back subsystems, which is then broken into two different parts. That means each wheel has its own separate motor. For the exterior, the company left a bit of the side exposed the carbon fiber to show what kind of materials went into the design and also to prove how lightweight the car is. The Concept One has much stronger body sections in the front and back to increase performance. Rimac set out to create a high comfort level when designing the interior, so they worked with Vilner to ensure the inside would both look and feel luxurious. The Concept One may have just set the bar for what we can expect from electric cars in the future.
