Discovering his passion for photography only three years ago, Seattle based Elias Carlson has an affinity for for vintage beauty, preferring old-school film to the “sterile” qualities of the digital film that rules the world of photography today. Carlson likes the idea of “holding a piece of history” in his hands, and his photos most certainly have a historical aspect. There is a certain warmth is his portrayal of nature that can only be captured in analog mode, showing intimate close-ups of scenes seldom viewed by most.
