This review unit of an Intex Envy Android tablet arrived last week. It’s an affordable 7-inch Froyo tablet that comes with a resistive screen (reason why they’re able to make it that cheap).
For Php6,995 you’re getting a Cortex A9 chip running at 1GHz. See complete specs below:
Intex Envy M709MR Android Tablet
7-inch resistive display @ 800×480 pixels
Amlogic 8726M with Cortex A9 Core 1GHz
ARM Mali-400 graphics with 3D acceleration support
512MB RAM
512MB ROM
8GB internal storage
up to 32GB via microSD
WiFi 802.11 b/g
micro-USB port
mini-HDMI port
Flash 10.1 support
3750mAh battery
Android 2.2 Froyo
It’s got an HDMI port that allows you to play up to 1080P full HD videos to an external display. Weird though that the OS is looking for cellular service when there’s no SIM card slot embedded in the tablet.
The battery like isn’t the best and only lasts for about 4 hours on WiFi.
Not the most impressive tablet in its category but for the really budget-conscious (I mean, those who don’t have Php10k and above to spare for a tablet), this is more than enough.
Suggested retail price is Php6,995.
