Most other portable speakers offer a relatively light and smaller form factors. Divoom’s Ozzo iTour didn’t sacrifice those and features a rectangular, curved speaker barrel. That, plus a two-piece set that seems to be inspired from Lego-land.
At first I felt that the size is a little too big to carry around in my laptop bag so most of the time, it’s left at home in my bedroom.
However, during one out-of-town trip, I managed to carry this along with a few other gadgets and I certainly did not regret it.
Usually, I have the X-Mini Max or the Razer Ferox speakers to bring along with me but sometimes, their power output isn’t just enough for a partying crowd.
The 5-watt speakers certainly provide enough power for some serious portable music.
Divoom Ozzo iTour:
Driver: 2 x 2” full range driver
Total RMS Power: 5 Watts RMS
Frequency Response: 100Hz-20KHz
Signal-to-noise Ratio: > 70dB
The built-in battery promises up to 6 hours of continuous playback although I don’t think I’ve reach that long on a single full charge. It’s also dependent on the type of music and the volume level you set it to.
The speaker barrel is attached to each other but can be split into two with an audio cord attached to both speaker that stretches for about half a meter apart.
Great volume range, a little tin-ny at the top end but isn’t distorted, decent bass, clear and crisp in the mids and low. It can sometimes be a little deafening at full volume but over-all, it’s a pretty good set of travel speakers.
The power switch on the side of one of the speakers is easily accessible along with the volume dial.
The internal audio cable is a little short that it doesn’t give your music player a bit of leg room. Fortunately, there’s a really long charging cable (uses a mini-USB port) that also doubles as an audio extension cable.
The review unit sent to me is black but I think there’s also a white model available.
Suggested retail price of the Divoom iTour is Php1,250 which is pretty good price for a great set of travel speakers. You can check more about it over at Divoom Philippines FB Page here.
