Ex-GM Exec Counters 'Loony Right' Attacks on Volt:
DETROIT (TheStreet) -- Outspoken former GM executive Bob Lutz is speaking out about the Republican right wing's demonization of the Volt.
"The loony right has its jaws sunk into the Volt with all the stupid determination of a terrier who has locked his teeth into the mailman's butt," Lutz wrote Monday, in his blog at Forbes.com. .
Lutz, the retired former GM vice chairman, decried Fox News host Bill O'Reilly's recent assertion that "several (Volts) have caught fire," and said "many portions of the American public" believe the same thing, even though it is not true.
