Stock Futures Dip Ahead of Weekly Jobless Claims:
NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- U.S. stock futures were hinting at a third day of losses as the market Thursday positioned itself for the weekly jobless claims report and shadowed the slipping European markets.

Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average were softer by 64 points, or 68.8 points below fair value, at 12,941. Futures for the S&P 500 were behind by 7.9 points, or 8.9 points below fair value, at 1385. Futures for the Nasdaq were falling 10.5 points, or 15.2 points below fair value, at 2726.









U.S. stocks were stomped Wednesday, weighed down by diminished hopes for additional stimulus from the Federal Reserve and the prospect of more debt problems surfacing in Europe.
