HTC Desire C launched at Php10,990, most affordable ICS:
HTC Philippines today launched three new handsets — the HTC One S powered by a SnapDragon S4, the HTC Desire V which is the first dual-SIM from the company, and the HTC Desire C which is one of the most affordable Android ICS handset in town.
Never did HTC introduced a handset this affordable. The nearest one we can remember is the HTC Wildfire. This one got ICS right out of the box.

HTC Desire C specs:
3.5″ LCD @ 320×480 pixels, 165ppi
Qualcomm Snapdragon 600MHz
512MB RAM
4GB internal storage
up to 32GB via microSD
HSDPA 7.2Mbps
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
Bluetooth 4.0
Beats Audio
GPS w/ aGPS
5MP rear camera
1230mAh Li-Ion battery
Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
We sat down with Mr. Richard Javier, the new Country Manager for HTC Phiippines, and discussed their positioning for the new Desire line-up.

According to him, the entire Desire series will be targeting the entry-level Android market. That means, you’ll be seeing most of the handsets offered below the price range of the more premium HTC One series.
The “Desire” used to represent the top of the line from HTC a couple of years ago. It was then replaced by the Sensation line but it would seem that only two product categories will remain — the One series and the Desire series.
The new handset are being shipped to retailers today and should be available in stores by tomorrow. And did we say the suggested retail price is just Php10,990?
