Power outages hit Davao City

DAVAO CITY, Philippines--Some technical glitches at the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines on affected the Davao area control center of the Davao Light and Power Company, causing a one-hour power outage in most parts of this city before noon Thursday.

Ross Luga, DLPC corporate communications officer, said technical problems at the NGCP briefly affected the sub-transmission substation serving Panacan to Puan areas, affecting about 189,000 residents.

“We are sorry for the inconvenience," Luga said.
