MANILA, Philippines – Some Catholic bishops on Wednesday expressed sadness over the death of Rodolfo Vera “Dolphy” Quizon with a prayer that God would soon bring him to His kingdom and appoint him as heaven's "court jester" to make it a happier place.

Cubao Bishop Honesto Ongtioco on Wednesday said the actor's death was again a reminder that there was an end to everything. But he stressed that while there was life, one must discover and develop his talents in service of others.

"It is important that we discover and develop the talents the Lord has given us for the service of others and also to thank the giver of blessings and talents," said Ongtioco.
