Creatives have long been known for having an alter-ego – Samuel Clemens became Mark Twain, Prince became The Artist Formerly Known As Prince and Shawn Carter became Jay-Z. But A-Trak, the former DJ for Kanye and half of Duck Sauce, managed to come up with more than one, including a quasi scuba diver and hippy in a bathrobe, in his new video for “Money Makin’ Routine.” Luckily for us, each one of these different personalties still knows how to DJ, as A-Trak’s hands move without reason between turntables, flipping switches and records to mix sounds that must have taken more than two hands to curate. But then again, it’s A-Trak and his friends, so we shouldn’t expect anything else.
