PMA: No ban on gay, lesbian enrollees:
The Philippine Military Academy (PMA) said on Tuesday that gay and lesbian enrollees are not banned in the academy as long as they follow its rules.
"[No gay-lesbian ban] because we will be accused of discriminating them, but once they are admitted to the Philippine Military Academy they are required to behave the way the cadets are to behave," Captain Agnes Flores, PMA spokesman, told reporters at a press briefing at Camp Aguinaldo.
Echoing Flores comment, PMA Superintendent Major General Nonato Peralta said “we will not reject them…there’s no ban on them.”
Flores, however, stressed that cross dressing is not allowed in the academy.
