MANILA, Philippines - Two resolutions seeking to honor the late Interior Secretary Jesse Robredo for his “outstanding contributions” to the government have been filed at the Senate.



The first measure – Senate Resolution No. 843, honoring Robredo “for his outstanding contributions to governmental reforms in the country” - was filed by his longtime friend and political ally, Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan.



The resolution cited Robredo's achievements as mayor of Naga City, as president of the League of Cities of the Philippines, as chairman of the Regional Development Council in Bicol and as head of the Department of the Interior and Local Gove...
