MANILA, Philippines - Aljon Mariano delivered anew to push University of Santo Tomas past National University, 58-57, in overtime Sunday night in the UAAP Season 75 men's basketball tournament at the Araneta Coliseum.
Mariano scored on a back-to-the-basket move with 4.4 seconds left before Ray Parks missed on his last-second drive as the buzzer sounded.
"Wala na din akong masabi. Alam ko kasing dumikit lang kami may mangyayari," sighed UST head coach Pido Jarencio, whose team tied FEU in second place at 7-2. "Nung na-shoot ni Fortuna, sabi ko sa kanila di na kayo yan. Diyos na nagbigay niyan."
