Maker Faire New York: Bitponics – Your Personal Gardening Assistant

Maker Faire New York: Bitponics – Your Personal Gardening Assistant:

Bitponics is a successfully funded Kickstarter project that helps indoor growers take care of their plants. They make an internet-connected device that comes with various sensors (water and air temperature, humidity, brightness, and pH). It takes readings and uploads the data to your online account. If the sensor data deviates from your custom growing plan, Bitponics will help steer you back on track.
The folks who created Bitponics will be at Maker Faire New York, which is taking place September 29 and 30, and there will be over 500 exhibits showcasing creativity and innovation in technology, craft, science, fashion, art, food and more.

Bitponics

Bitponics

Bitponics is a system that simplifies & automates hydroponic gardening. A device with a suite of sensors monitors your garden, and a web service tracks the readings and, based on what you're growing, will let you know how to keep your plants happy. In order to show it, we'll be bringing the following: * A Bitponics device (approx 6" x 6" x 3") * A small hydroponic system (approx 18"W x 12"Dx 7"H) * A laptop to show the web interface
