Globe picks the 4.3-inch Huawei Ascend P1 as first LTE handset:
We saw the Huawei Ascend P1 LTE device last November but then it was just a soon-to-be available LTE phone.
Globe made good on their promise to bring LTE handsets at the last quarter of the year by choosing this Huawei handset for their postpaid and prepaid subscribers.
Huawei Ascend P1 1
The Huawei Ascend P1 is a decent-looking 4.3-inch phone with a qHD AMOLED display and runs on a dual-core processor using Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It has 1GB RAM and 4GB internal storage with support for microSD. It also has an 8-megapixel camera that can do Fujll HD video recording.
Huawei Ascend P1 2
LTE speed on this phone supports up to 100Mbps but from what we’ve seen so far from Globe’s LTE test, 42 Mbps would already be acceptable.

The Huawei Ascend P1 LTE will be free on UnliSurf Plan 1799. Add P500 monthly for 24 months if you want it on UnliSurf Plan 999. If you want it on prepaid, prepare to shell out Php21,000.
