Philippines wins Bronze in World Cyber Games 2012:
For the first time ever in Philippine Gaming and World Cyber Games history, the Philippines was able to secure a bronze medal.
World Cyber Games, an international competitive video-gaming event, was recently held in Kunshan, China last November 29 to December 2. The game festival featured different tournaments on established games such as Starcraft 2, Warcraft 3, Dota 2, FIFA 12, and CrossFire.

Joining them at the apex of the tournament was China’s Invictus Gaming(iG), Vietnam’s Freedom, and Russia’s Virtus.Pro. Their first head-on match on this battle for medals was against iG, with a 2-0 result in favor of China’s representatives. Losing the chance for a gold, Philippines faced the losing team of the other match, Virtus.Pro.
