Torque Droidz Atom does its best Galaxy S3 Mini impression:
Have you ever wanted to own a phone with a premium look but don’t have the budget to actually get one? Torque might have an answer for that in the form of their upcoming Droidz Atom which is set to be available next month.
Earlier we personally saw this Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini look-a-like. Just take a look at it and tell me if it reminds you of the smaller S3.
Curved corners check. White glossy finish with chrome trimmings check. That familiar looking home button at the bottom check. This is still a prototype unit so the Torque brand was stickered on top. And no there’s no Samsung logo underneath it. Hehehe.
The back also has that glossy plastic finish enclosing the 5-megapixel camera and this is where its physical similarity with the S3 Mini ends.
The Torque Droidz Atom is a dual-core, dual-SIM phone with a 4-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen display. It runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, has a 512MB RAM and 4GB internal storage. Basically, it’s a step inferior than the Galaxy S3 Mini which is not so bad at all.
As for the price, Torque hinted that it will go for just under Php4,000 when it will be officially available on January 2013. Yes, they’re a bit down that they couldn’t have it ready before Christmas but it could give the Cherry Mobile Flare a run for its money.
