Torque Droidz Portal, 7-inch Android tablet with TV

Torque Droidz Portal, 7-inch Android tablet with TV:
Torque gave us a sneak peek on what devices are on tap for early next year and the Droidz Portal piqued are interest as it combines a tablet and a TV in one device.
Torque Droidz Portal 1
The Torque Droidz Portal is first and foremost a 7-inch tablet that runs on Android Jelly Bean. Then it’s also a phone that supports dual-SIM and dual-Standby. Finally, it also has a TV antenna so you can watch your local channels while on the go. It’s definitely more than a tablet.
The 7-inch capacitive touch screen sports an average 1024 x 600 WSVGA resolution. It is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor with 512MB RAM and 4GB of internal storage with microSD support of up to 32GB.
Torque Droidz Portal 2
Looking at it straight on, you’ll get that “China-quality” feeling in terms of design. You wouldn’t know whether to use it in portrait or landscape mode with the contradicting layout of the buttons and the brand.
Torque Droidz Portal 3
The back has a nice aluminum finish though and houses the 8-megapixel camera. See how it tries to mimic the iPad with the finish, the subtle curves and those speaker grills at the bottom?
The Torque Droidz Portal is part of Torque’s January 2013 dual-SIM, dual-core devices and will retail for less than Php10,000 (no exact pricing yet).
