Lenovo announces the K900, a 5.5-inch Intel-powered Android smartphone:
Lenovo recently announced their latest flagship premium smartphone, the 5.5-inch Intel-powered K900 that runs on Android.
The Lenovo K900 sports a super-slim profile at just 6.9mm and its chassis is made of stainless steel alloy in a polycarbonate Unibody mold weighing at just 162g. Not bad for a 5.5-inch phone if you ask me and it’s lighter than Samsung’s Galaxy Note II.
The K900 is one of the first smartphones in the world to combine a 5.5-inch IPS display with 1080p full high-definition resolution performance bringing its pixel density at 400+ pixels-per-inch, and this is protected by Gorilla Glass 2.
Running the show for this phone is Intel’s Z2580 dual-core Atom processor with nothing much else disclosed. It does come equipped with a 13-megapixel camera utilizing Sony’s Exmor BSI sensor with a f/1.8 focal length lens. That’s the widest aperture of a camera on a phone today and should give better low-light performance than current ones.
It’s still unclear what other specs we’ll be getting from the Lenovo K900 or how much it will cost but it will be available first in China this April and select regional markets soon thereafter.
