Victoria Beckham Reveals Her "Need to Work" in the New Elle UK

Victoria Beckham Reveals Her "Need to Work" in the New Elle UK:

Victoria Beckham strikes a stunning pose for the cover of March 2013's Elle UK - check out her full interview when the edition appears on newsstands and digitally this Wednesday, Jan. 30. In the accompanying photos, shot by photographer Carter Smith, Posh wore a variety of barely-there ensembles. She spoke to a writer from the magazine about her serious work ethic and how, though she doesn't exactly have to work, she still "needs" to. Victoria also spoke about the changes in store for her family now that they've packed up and left LA for their native England, and how she still retains a degree of modesty, despite all the attention around her. Here are highlights from Victoria Beckham in Elle UK:

  • On being a hard worker: "It was never my intention to prove anybody wrong. I wanted to prove to myself that I could do it. I don't have to work, I need to work. All these people [her fellow fashion designers], they've not just been given anything. They've worked hard. And I've never been given anything either. But I have a good work ethic; David has an incredible work ethic. I want my kids to have a good work ethic. I believe you can achieve anything if you work hard enough to get it."

  • On her enduring modesty: "When I was on stage with the Spice Girls, I thought people were there to see the other four and not me. And when I go out with David and people take pictures I think, 'They're here to take David's picture.'"

  • On changes for her family: "Now David has finished playing for LA Galaxy and we are starting a new chapter in our lives; as a family we are all very excited about what lies ahead for 2013."
