I’ve never been excited before as much as today after finding out about Sun’s newest feature for Prepaid – the Name Ur Number SIM. This allows you to personalize your Sun mobile number (be it 0943-9-DIANNE, 0942-8-SO-POGI or 0943-8-PRETTY). I remember this feature being available only for postpaid accounts before and you still have to pay premium for it.
Now, you just need to pay for this Sun Name Ur Number SIM for Php59 and follow the USSD code that will prompt on your phone. The 7-digit number will start with either 8 or 9, then you will be asked to enter your desired last 6 digits. I chose the number that corresponds to the letters of my name: 09xx-xxTETEL (Cool, huh?) This definitely makes it easier for people to remember my number.
If the number your entered is already taken, you will be given a list of close variations, or you can enter a different combination. The Name Ur Number SIM also comes with a Sun Call and Text Combo 50 load (200 Sun texts, 200 texts to other networks and 70 minutes of Sun Calls) valid for 5 days.
What amuses me about Sun is how they are able to offer really good deals on their Postpaid Plans. Offered at Plan 350, you can already choose a range of Android Smartphones including Alcatel One Touch Glory 2, ZTE V790, and Huawei Y200 D.
The Sundroid Rush promo, which they launched late last year, comes in two editions: Alcatel and Samsung editions. At Plan 600, you can get an Alcatel Glory X918N and Alcatel T10 Tablet for free while at Plan 999, you can get a Samsung Galaxy Y and a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 Wi-Fi for free. What’s not to love about Sun’s promos?
Re-launching Sun’s best-selling plan, you can avail of the Sun Broadband with no holding period! Just present your I.D. and get unlimited Internet for P888 (Modem), P1,888 (Wi-Fi Stick) and P2,800 (Pocket Wi-Fi).
For Prepaid Kits, they have a current promo where you can get the Standard Kit for P795 instead of P995. The kit already includes the modem and the SIM with 1 hour surfing.
